I’m in Vietnam and have just heard of Billy’s passing. I’m shocked and saddened. I Played most of my junior league football in DLS with Billy. And later as a coach in tramore , Billy often and willingly came out to advise and coach our keepers if we had a big game coming up. He was incredibly helpful, fun and a pleasure to be in his company. Sincere condolences to Joan,Billy’s family and friends. Big man, big heart big smile. Will be sadly missed. Rest peacefully.

Billy was an absolute gentleman and brilliant role model to all players and coaches he worked with, always supportive and encouraging to everyone who came accross his path. RIP Billy
