So very sorry to read of Billy’s passing in the Diocesan Magazine.
I remember him well over the years coming into Church House, Dublin for Bishop’s Appeal meetings. He was a lovely gentleman.

In recent days we heard of the loss of your Mum and Dad. I had the privilege and honour of meeting them a number of times. They were always highly respected in our home in Dunmanway. My Mum Enda Sweetnam always spoke highly of Billy and Margaret. May they Rest in Peace.

Dad and Billy worked closely together in the early days of Aherlow Failte. As a child, I have fond memories of visiting Kingston Shoes, and Billy always took care of us.

Orla and I are both saddened by the passing of my kind Godfather, he was a man of warmth and generosity, and he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His kindness and guidance will always be remembered and cherished. Our sympathies go to Ken and David. May you find comfort in the love your father gave so freely and in the many memories that will forever live on. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
