We both worked with Billy in AH Masser's back in the 70's. He was always in good form, a really nice guy.

It was with great shock and sadness that I learnt of Billy passing. Billy and Tina became neighbours off my Mam and Dad when they moved into St Bridgets Drive in 1985 and remaining there till they move to there existing house in 1999. What could I say about Billy he had a lovely smile and a gentle touch about him , he was so friendly and kind, he help me purchase my first ever car in 1998 directing me to the right car dealer, over the years when I lived in the family home I would help him with gardening issue ,have to say he had no green fingers but he made up for that in the great conversation we had over the garden wall, I always new that Billy was a man of few words but a knowledge man at that. I know he worked very hard for his family and work long hours down in Dublin docks working I think with Daff . My thoughts and prayers are with you Tina and girls, as christian we believe life has not ended for Billy put has just be altered and that one day we will all meet again so until then rest peaceful Billy .

Billy was one of the friendliest neighbours in our estate. He Always had a smile on his face and would shout hello to me regardless of how far away I was on the road if we saw each other! He loved his two daughters to bits and they loved him too! Tina and him always seemed so happy and I remember they laughed a lot in the house when I was younger and hanging out with Caitlin or Ciara. I am dreadfully sorry to hear about their loss…The world (and our estate) has lost an absolute gentleman. Sending so much love to his family and friends. 💔
