I only got to know Billy in recent years as I often passed his house while walking my dog. It always coincided with "time for a break" and a chat and a cigarette. He was a pleasant man with a warm smile.

To Jackie and Family and the extended Leahy Family, our sincere sympathy to all of you on the passing of Billy, a much loved Husband, a great and loving Dad and adored Grandad and good friend to many. What a character, a thorough gentleman with a great sense of humour and fun. You always felt better after bumping into Billy, you were left with a smile on your face. We remember many a night playing in the mixed with himself and Jackie and we were entertained both on and off the course !! The Mass and send off that you gave to Billy was beautiful and a credit to you all. It was lovely to see his Children and so many of his adored Grandkids playing their part in it. He would have loved the choice of music. As for John's Eulogy it was just brilliant ! We can imagine Billy having a great laugh at it with Michael from his new home. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult and sad time. May Billy Rest in Peace.
