I remember Billy from the days of the Shannonside Festival in Banagher back in the early 80's where he volunteered his help as a steward. He never missed a night. A lovely man.

I have many happy memories of working with Billy in Banagher Concrete. The one that stands out was when he asked me one day about a passport.His friend Declan had asked him to join them on a holiday to Spain but Billy had no passport .As it turned out he had no birth cert either so with the help of Jack Lucas we managed to sort out a possible date and Garda John Martin signed some forms and we made the application.
3 weeks later the passport arrived, Billy went to Spain and travelled many times after.
Sadly he won't need his passport now but such a gentleman will get clear lanes without restrictions to a better place.
