We were very proud to visit Helena Modes knowing Birdie would always have a sincere welcome for us as her young neighbours; what a fabulous woman who has left us with great memories.

Dear Family, Friends & Neighbours 
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Birdie, a truly remarkable individual whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many. As I reflect on her legacy, I am reminded of my own personal experience of visiting Birdie's shop on Parnell Street over half a century ago. My mother and I went there to select my Confirmation dress, and Birdie's warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in her customers left an indelible mark on my young heart.
Her willingness to accommodate those in need by offering payment plans was a testament to her compassionate nature. I have no doubt that many others have similar fond memories of her shop and her kindness.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on this loss. 
May Birdie's memory continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her.

I worked in Birdies in Parnell St for 8 years many years ago, Birdie, the Mrs and Mr Cusack were amazing employers and treated their staff like family, Birdie was a Wonderful lady who took me under her wing and many a day i spent in Rhorkee or in Kilkee with Birdie doing jobs around the houses.
