To Blanid’s Family & Friends. On behalf of the Committee & members of Lansdowne LTC, please accept our sincere condolences on the sad passing of Blanid. She is fondly remembered by those who knew her well. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I was so deeply saddened by Blanaid’s passing. Though many years have passed since our childhood days together, I still hold fond memories of the times we shared. Blanaid was such a special part of my early life, and I will always treasure the fun and mischief we had together.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time, and I hope you find comfort in the love and memories of Blanaid.

Absolutely heartbroken and stunned to learn of beautiful Blanad’s untimely death. As all of us who knew Blanad know, she was great crack, free spirited, glamorous, kind, warm and witty. She also had great style in tennis but it remained hugely understated. Blanad attracted all around her, with her entertaining stories, listening skills, spontaneity and genuine zest for life. Moments from her 40th birthday party organized by Damien Molloy (now also sadly deceased) remain etched in memory. Our sincere condolences to all of Blanad’s family during this very difficult time. May her gentle soul rest in peace. You will be hugely missed darling Bla, by all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving you.

My sincerest sympathy to Brian and all the McCarthy family on the passing of Blanaid - I was truly saddened to hear this.
I remember when Blanaid first joined Mount Pleasant and we quickly realised that she was such a talent. What ensued were great battles on court and many laughs off court.
I can only imagine the void that will be felt but as you all so wisely said, in time we can start to think of the many good times we shared with her. Rest in peace, Bridie.

So very sorry to hear this sad news. My deepest condolences to Brian, Steve, Rob and Mick. I have a memory of going with your Mum and Blanaid to town to get her first pair of Levis. May she rest in peace.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Blanaid's passing. My sincere condolences to all her brothers and family whom she adored. We shared many trips and adventures around the world. Blanaid was funny and brave and lived in the moment. She was also an incredible listener. May she now rest in peace.
