Great stories of his relatives in Clare and Galway and of his time in London. He also had great stories about all the local characters and often entertained people with his music and songs. Our deepest condolences to Joan and Mary on the passing of Bob. He was such an interesting man,with so many stories and history knowledge of times past. Bob had such a great attitude in the shop,always smiling and welcoming. It was with the younger generation that he really shone. Every young child knew him and he had such patience with them while they decided how to spend their money. I’m sure he had many a cold meal waiting for him while they made up their minds,but he just smiled as each and everyone was special to him. A great character gone from Castlelyons,we were blessed to have known him. R.I.P. Bob….Lil & Johnny.

We would like to extend our sincere sympathy to Joan, Mary and extended family on the death of Bob. We have great memories of Bob in his shop. After every training, or any event in the hall , our children had to call to Bobs in fact our Christopher always said Bob Mac had the cheapest penny sweets in the Country because if you asked for 20 you always got 30 ,thus the cheapest penny sweets. Rest In Peace Bob , good and kind gentleman.
