A lovely man who was an excellent Irish teacher and Principal. I'll always remember that he took the time to send a Mass card and message of sympathy after my mother's sudden passing, many years after I had left school. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Br. Cronan.
I know how deeply the brothers feel the loss of a confrère and my deepest sympathies to all the Presentation Brothers and to Br. Cronan's family
I remember Br. Cronan fondly from the 90s. His kind words of encouragement and his belief in giving freely of his wisdom and time to young people in formation was much appreciated.
May Our Lady of the Presentation welcome him and May his soul rest in peace.

I have been greatly inspired by Br. Cronan's faithfulness and dedication over many years as a Presentation Brother. I regularly requested him to prayer for my intentions such was my beiief in the power of his prayer.

Bro. Cronan was a Gentleman. RIP

A dedicated and inspiring teacher, his passionate love of all things Gaelic,especially hurling and the Irish language, made an abiding impression on me and so many of his students in PBC, Birr in the seventies. He was very generous with his time spending much of his own free time training hurling teams and preparing debating teams with his trademark patience, wisdom and skill. I have very happy memories of Irish courses on Inis Thiar which he organised for his students every June and which were like a rite of passage for my generation.I will remember this kind , fair-minded and gentle man always with fondness and gratitude. Bro Cronan was always a happy and smiling face and a true "gentleman of the Presentation". As a teacher he was always encouraging and interested in ones progress. It was a pleasure to meet Bro Cronan and one felt uplifted by his zest for life and his general interest in ones wellbeing.
