My deepest sympathies on the passing of Eamonn. I knew him for many years through An Oige hiking and really enjoyed his company. He was such a lovely gentle person and was such an inspiration to me on the calling to be Christian. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
It’s with deep sadness we have heard about the passing of Br Davis he was a great friend to our Mother Peggy He will be remembered near and far He was a gentleman with a heart of gold
Brother Davis was my inspiration growing up in Gardiner street. He taught me so much about life and chess strategy. I loved our chats on hikes in the Wicklow mountains. Goodbye old friend . Rest in Prace.
He epitomised everything that is good about Belvedere College.
He was understated in the way he did things but his impact was immense.
A true once in a generation player.

Deepest sympathies to the Jesuit and Belvedere communities on the recent passing of Brother Eamonn. I knew Eamonn through the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. The breadth and depth of respect the Belvedere lads had for him was so evident over the decades - they held him in the highest regard. He touched the lives of so many in a very understated manner. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílís.

Condolences to the Jesuit community and Eamonn's family. While our boys were in Belvedere (1989-1998), I met Eamonn from time to time and found him good company. While they were not involved in Life-Saving, my late Padraic SJ (d. 1956) was also involved in Life Saving when he taught in Coláiste Iognáid in Galway. This was a basis for a very tenous family connection to Eamonn.
Deepest sympathy and condolences to Bro Eamonn’s extended family and the Jesuit community on Bro Eamonn’s death. He was a small man who cast a long shadow. His quite unassuming way is a lesson to us all in life and in Christianity.
We are the better in having known him and our lives are diminished by his passing.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of brother Eammon Davis. May he rest in eternal peace!
Brother Davis was such a great down to earth man who was dedicated to helping others. Our two sons did Lifesaving and the VDP all throughout their time in Belvedere and had the height of time and utmost respect for Brother Davis as did we. It was lovely bumping into him at so many of the rugby matches after the boys had left the school. He was a unique unassuming human being. He will be sorely missed in so many ways but very fondly remembered. Thank you for all you did and the important impact you had on our boys. May you rest now in eternal peace.
Br. Davis was hugely respected and admired by all the student body, including those who were not involved in the VdP or the lifesaving. He was smilingly no-nonsense and cheerful with an energy that shone out of him. He was one of those authentic people who make life - and how to live - look extremely straightforward: be kind and help others. It seemed like he would go on forever, but he has surely earned his rest. RIP
Br. Eamonn Davis was probably the most dynamic person I have ever met. He had an amazing bias towards action, and all that action was anchored in his deep-seated commitment to serving God. He was no-nonsense, but was perceptively kind to young people finding their feet. He had a genius for selflessly creating communities that changed people's lives for the better. Through the conferences of the Vincent de Paul in Belvedere he built deep and dear relationships between people that might otherwise have never met each other. I owe him a great deal for many things - the opportunity to serve as a brancardier in Lourdes, the chance to be part of the Conference of St John Berchmans, and the good fortune to know Josephine McHale from George's Place who became a great pal. St Francis of Assisi said to his followers 'Fratres, dum tempus habemus operemur bonum'/ 'Brothers, while we have time let us do good'; not many use their time as productively and as well as Br Eamonn Davis did. God bless him. Condolences to all Eamonn's family.

Br. Eamon's legacy lives on in all who take time to listen to and care for those who are marginalised in our society. He consistently reminded us to try to make a difference for the better. He inspired us because he was so actively engaged in life, never taking it for granted and always humble in everything he did. Our deepest sympathy to his fellow Jesuits, his family and all those who shred his friendship. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies to Br. Eamonn’s family and community. He was inspirational in the commitment he had to the students from Belvedere College who were part of the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. A man of practical advice always leading by example. May he rest now from his labours in the gentle embrace of the Good Shepherd.
As a cherished Jesuit and a truly thoughtful man, his loss is felt profoundly by all who knew him. Br. Eamonn's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith and sense of fun have touched countless lives. His legacy of compassion and dedication to serving others will continue to inspire us all. He and John will be reminiscing together about all the wonderful work they achieved with Berchmans. Though words may offer little comfort in the face of such sorrow, we will find solace in the memories of the love and joy he brought into the world. You will be missed, Br. Eamonn. Sympathy to Brother Davis sister and all the Davis family and his fellow Jesuits Brother Davis was so supportive to our family at all times
Br. Eamonn Davis through his ministry to the poor and marginalised helped to bring a beacon of light into so many people's lives. His acts of charity and humility demonstrated Christian solidarity and social justice in simple yet profound ways. As a past pupil of Belvedere College S.J. I knew him both as a swim coach with a skill for teaching water lifesafety as well as the convener of the St. Vincent De Paul St. John Berchman's weekly conference. In many respects Br. E. Davis brought a breadth to my schooling extending the Jesuit education and values of being men for others literally into the streets of Dublin's North East Inner City. We are all the richer for having known him. Ar Dheis De go raibh a Ainm dílis.
