It is with deep sadness I read Bro. Finbarr has died he was always very interesting to talk to a true gentleman. He called to see us in Bray once a year and it was with great joy we looked forward to his visit. Rest in Peace Finbarr. Dolores D.

Deepest condolences to all Br Finbarr's relatives & work colleagues on his recent passing. We have lovely memories of Finbarr, one of which was when we visited him at St Augustine's in Dungarvan some years back. He showed us the fabulous Handball court at St Augustine's and was rightly very proud of the facility. He also showed us around the College and of course had nice cup of tea and biscuits for us afterwards. He loved visiting coming to Kerry meeting his cousins and loved his Kerry football of course. A lovely kind person Br Finbarr was - May his soul Rest in Peace.

He was a kind mentor to various members of our family over the years and we were saddened to hear of his passing.

Br. Spring was a wonderful mentor and coach during my time at the Friary, always encouraging, friendly, and generous. I was fortunate to visit many parts of the country, and even a trip to Canada, playing handball under his leadership.

He will be remembered for his profound contributions to the Handball community and his guidance in youth development.

He was a role model for so many people of all ages and contributed to some many boys and girls during their character formation.
His legacy is evident in two Handball alleys,medals won but also in so many fine men and women who he mentored and they loved and admired him so much in return.

During the open day last April in the college he kindly offered a group of us from the class of 1974 a tour of the college.
He was especially proud of the two handball courts.

Sincere condolences to the Spring family and the Augustine community on the loss of an exceptional Man. I met Finbar through my husband Bill and my mother in law Winne Power over 30 yrs ago. He was true friend to the family. We had many a wonderful night with Finbar at the AGM as he liked to call it. It was a pleasure to have known him.
