Sincere sympathies to all the extended Nevin family on the sad passing of Br. Larry. After his retirement as Principal from the CBS in Roscrea, Br. Larry shared his home with a group of young people with intellectual disabilities who were transitioning from institutional care to ordinary community life.
Br. Larry showed great patience with and support for his new house mates and they quickly flourished under his gentle and calm encouragement and nurturing. This successful experience facilitated by Br Larry, provided a very positive example, and gave great confidence and enthusiasm for other people as they too made the significant transition from institutional care.
Br. Larry made a very significant, quiet contribution to the enhanced quality of life for many people with intellectual disabilities in Roscrea.
We will always remember him as a kind, considerate, selfless and respectful agent of positive change. May he rest in peace. RIP Br. Larry.
