It is hard to put into words the quiet impact Brother Nicholas had on those of us who shared life with him in Marianella. He lived the Redemptorist way with grace, humility, and a deep sense of hospitality. There was a calm strength in him, rooted in prayer and shaped by a lifetime of generous service.
Some of my fondest memories are of the ordinary moments we shared. Conversations over tea, bursts of laughter, and stories from Redemptorist life that he told with such joy and vivid detail. He had a real gift for bringing the past to life, and there was always a twinkle in his eye when a good story was unfolding. You always left those chats feeling lighter, encouraged, and somehow more grounded.
Brother Nicholas had a deep love for his family, his community, and without question, for Kilkenny hurling. He carried the same spirit of simplicity and welcome I also saw in Brothers Jarlath and Dessie, men whose presence made Marianella feel like home.
All of these qualities in Brother Nicholas changed who I am. His kindness, his way of listening, his quiet encouragement, and his deep faith shaped not just how I saw him, but how I began to see myself and my vocation. When I think of the spirit of the Redemptorists, it is Nick who comes to mind.
I am deeply thankful for his example and for the privilege of having walked part of the journey with him.
May he rest in the peace.

Br Nicholas was a saint, who lived his vocation as a Redemptorist in a truly gentle, loyal, faith filled way who was deeply loved by those of us who lived with him in Marianella. I remember the fun we had, the chats we had over coffee in the refectory but most of all I am privileged to have lived with a deeply prayerful man who loved his family, his Redemptorist confreres and his beloved Kilkenny! The world is a poorer place without his gentle presence. We are assured of his prayers, as always, now that he is at home with his beloved Lord. I thank God for his wonderful encouragement, help, inspirational faith and love to all us students in Marianella. May he Rest In Peace.

In Loving Memory of Brother Nicholas Healy, CSsR
Brother Nicholas Healy, CSsR, was a man of quiet holiness, deep faith, and generous service. A Redemptorist to his core, he devoted his life to community, especially in Marianella, where his kindness and genuine interest in students left a lasting impression.
He inspired me deeply. In his simplicity, he was a true champion, living and breathing the Redemptorist charism with humility, service, and love for others. His tireless work for the missions through the annual sale of work reflected his deep commitment to service.
A natural storyteller, he was always curious and always listening. He found peace in long walks around Howth, Bray, and Greystones, joy in pitch and putt, and pride in Kilkenny hurling.
Sincere condolences to his sister Breed, his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews, extended family and his Redemptorist brothers.
We give thanks for his life, his example, and his presence among us.

May the lovely Br Nicholas rest in eternal peace. Several years back while working at St John’s Hospital I had the pleasure to reconnect with one of my Dads (Tommy Campion of Inch)former cousin’s Br Nicholas. Since then we have had several chats the last one not so long ago. I loved our meet ups and was always excited to see him come for his appointment. My deepest sympathies to his family.
