Deepest Sympathy to the Capuchin Friars in Raheny on the death of Br. Pádraig O'Cuill. God rest his Gentle Soul.
Fear díograiseach coinsiasach a bhí ann. Nuair a ghlac sé cúram chuige féin bhí a fhios agat go ndéanfaí é go críochnúil. Rinne sé cion fir ar son na Comhdhála Ceiltí. Ba iontach an comhluadar é. Ba phribhléid é aithne a bheith agam air.
Is mór an meas a bhí agam ar an Athair Pádraig Ó Cuill. Is mór an chailliúint é dá deirfiúracha: Bríd agus an Siúr Fionnuala, ach, dúinne freisin a bhíodh gníomhach leis, ar feadh blianta fada, sa Chomhdháil Cheilteach. Is cuimhin liom é mar chathaoirleach ar Choiste Chraobh na hÉireann. Bhíodh sé lách, críochnúil, poncúil, spreagúil, tuisceanach agus dílis. Bhíodh sé linn ag na comhdhálacha ins na tíortha ceilteacha éagsúla. Bhíodh an tAifreann Naofa á rá aige gach maidin roimh tús imeachtaí an lae. I ngach dóigh chuireadh an tAthair Ó Cuill láithreacht Chríost in iúl. Go n-aire se féin, anois, fáilte Chríost ar neamh
Deepest condolences to Br. Pádraig’s sisters Bríd and Fionnula, extended family relations, Capuchin confreres, friends and relatives.

He taught me Irish in my time in Rochestown in the early 70s and he was involved in several other projects also. He took on the job of cataloguing the school library, was Producer of the musicals and came on a couple of school tours. He was one of a great group of people who gave a huge contribution, through education, to further and nurture the lives of others. Their unselfish lives and their dedication to others is imeasurable and should never be forgotten. God grant him and all of his colleagues a resting place in Heaven. RIP
