My deepest condolences to the Cosgrave family. Bridget was a wonderful colleague, kind, gentle and warm. All her colleagues in the Division truly valued her as a cherished colleague and friend, always ready to help & share her knowledge. She will be very much missed.

I have read the many lovely tributes to Bridget from her colleagues in DETE. The words kind, gentle, funny, unassuming and so many more have been echoed over and over again. What a great loss her passing is to her family, friends and her colleagues.
As a retired DETE colleague, I concur with everything that her colleagues have said. Bridget was one of the nicest people that I have had the privilege to work with. She always brought calm in the midst of my many frantic requests for information on Parliamenty Questions and Memos for Government. She had that lovely calm gentle way of dealing with everything that was thrown at her. She was a fabulous person and all of us in DETE were blessed to have known her.
The mould was broken on Friday 12th September 2025.

Bridget was truly a special lady — kind, thoughtful, and always so generous with her time and knowledge. She had a quiet, unassuming way of helping everyone around her, and never hesitated to offer support, especially when it came to sharing her incredible corporate knowledge — something all her colleagues leaned on.

Bridget couldn’t do enough for her friends and colleagues. Whether it was a word of encouragement, a practical helping hand, or simply sharing a laugh — and there were plenty of laughs! — she brought warmth and care to everything she did. She made the workplace brighter and better just by being herself.

She will be so fondly remembered and deeply missed.
