Dear Cousins, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I met Aunty Breda in 2007 when traveling to Ireland with my mom, Ronnie. Breda was such a kind sweet lady! I am sure your many great memories will sustain you through the future. Hugs!
To my lovely nieces, please accept my deepest sympathies in the loss of Breda, my sister, and your mother. I have fond memories of Breda and I growing up in Gortlandroe. I remember traveling with Breda, Mary and Deirdre Flynn in a donkey and trap to Carrig school. We had fun together picking mushrooms, playing marbles, and riding our bicycles to Dromineer. Gretton and I enjoyed meeting and knowing all my nieces and we very much enjoyed Hughie and Breda's hospitality. We had many happy telephone conversations in the last few years. I will miss my sister greatly. With love, Aunty Ronnie.

To my beloved cousins. So sorry I could not be with you today as I am away at the moment. You are all in my thoughts as is your lovely Mother, my Aunty Breda. I have no doubt she is in heaven now with Dad & all of our wonderful family that have gone before us. May she rest in peace. Love to all of you at this sad time. Sharon xxx
I was so lucky to have met Aunty Breda, Uncle Hughie and all her family several times. While on my backpacking adventures to Ireland, Auntie Breda was always so kind and so inviting and always interested in hearing my stories over a cup of tea and her delicious 'apple tart' in her Beleen kitchen. She always offered a comfy bed with a ton of warm blankets. I saw Auntie Breda last in 2015 when I visited with my mom, (her sister Veronica/Ronnie), and my son, Liam. She was still living in her own little house, Belmont, and still driving her little car. She was still making tea and so proud of all her daughters and their families. My mom was very fond of Breda. The two had many happy memories of their childhood together growing up in Nenagh. Many, many letters were written to each other over the years, and once long-distance phone calls became cheaper, they were able to have quite frequent conversations as well. They even had one Skype session! Auntie Breda was such a lovely person and a unique character, and will, I am certain, be greatly missed by everyone!
Thinking of all of you at this sad time. I know you will miss your mother and grandmother very much. You were so blessed to be able to live nearby and have her in your lives all these years! I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet my Aunty Breda and Uncle Hughie and all my cousins in the mid seventies, when all of us were young and beautiful and have fond memories of the community dances we attended, Uncle Hughie's introductions to my other aunts and uncles, along with his reminder ' well, you know, you can choose your friends, but your relatives are foisted upon you'. Both Uncle Hughie and Aunty Breda made everything so much fun, with their generosity and hospitality. I'm so glad that many of us can be in touch these days through the miracle of computers, the internet and facebook, and hope maybe someday we can all meet again in person. With love and best wishes - Rosaleen
