I wish to send my condolences to Breda Clancys Family. I am a Past Pupil of the Girls Comprehensive School. There was 4 of us Flynn Sisters who attend that school Breda was a very firm and strict Principal.I always had RESPECT for her as a PRINCIPAL to the GIRLS OF BALLYMUN COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL.U WERE ESPECIALLY GOOD TO ME MY SISTERS AND MY MAM AND DAD. In 1970 Breda was appointed Headmistress in the New Girls Comprehensive. Many years as a Science teacher preceded this. Breda was a very able administrator, and the success of her students was her guiding principle She also encouraged pioneering work in school Science programmes. My sympathy to her close family.

Sincere sympathy to the Clancy Family at this sad time. Breda will always be remembered by those of us who worked with her in the Girls' Comprehensive School, Ballymun. Not only was she a wonderful administrator who valued her staff, but was a huge support to those of us who faced personal trauma, (always in the background managing the practicalities smoothing out difficulties). .Between Kitty O' Riordan (also gone from us too soon) they were the Perfect Pair, Breda the Head and Kitty the Heart. Memories are all we leave behind and Breda did untold good behind the scenes. She was an example to us all of a truly good human being.

I remember Breda from her time as school Principal of one of Irelands first Comprehensive Schools: Ballymun Girls’ Junior Comprehensive. She gave great service there, and lay female Principals were very scarce at that time. Rest in Peace Breda. My sympathy to all her family
