Emer, sincere sympathy to you and your family on the recent passing of your Mum. She was a wonderful lady and a great neighbour when we lived in Racefield many years ago. She always looked wonderful and had the greatest smile. She was full of fun. May she rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Emer and extended O Mahony family. I was so sorry to hear of Breda passing. What a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of working with Breda in the Oncology Day unit and she always had a wonderful smile on her face every day. I would also meet Breda many a day walking her fabulous doggies and we would have the chats. She cared for my aunt on many occasions and she was so caring. I will miss seeing her walking her dogs and her wonderful smile. Rest in peace Breda. You will be sincerely missed🙏

I was so sad to hear of Breda’s passing. She was always such a lovely neighbour, always stopped me for a chat whenever I was home. Last summer my kids played with Áed on the Racefield green and I could see what a loving and proud grandmother she was. She will be sadly missed in the neighbourhood, and never forgotten. We've known Breda for close on 40 years in Racefield. She loved to stop for a chat (especially about hurling) when she was out walking, except when she apologised as she was hurrying to get the bus to Ballybunion or Newcastle West or even to Mayo! She had a great community spirit that was and is evident in the flower beds and plants both in Racefield and in Gouldavoher. She always had a kind word for our three now adult daughters and in recent times for our grandchildren.
She was especially proud of her grandchildren Áed and Sadie and they will grow up with stories about their nanny and what a lovely person she was.
She will be greatly missed by all her neighbours and friends in the community.
