I am so sorry to hear that Breda has passed away. She was such a lovely lady. She was so much more than a landlady to me when I was only 16 in DIT. She was that Mum figure I needed in the big city. We use to walk down to McDonald's for a ice-cream Sunday. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends.

Breda…how much I’ll miss you is immeasurable my dear sweet friend. You so warmly greeted me with a big hug when we first met in March’96, from that moment you (and Kamal) always made me feel so welcome, looked after/out for as if I were yours. Over the years I’ve brought friends and family to meet you and Kamal, sent many from the States (and elsewhere too!) to the restaurants. The day that my mom (and dad) met you (my second mom as you were so warmly called) will always be a cherished memory. Your life stories of travels, consulate dinners, etc., captivated anyone lucky enough to hear them. You could so light up a room.

My heart breaks for you Kamal. Although you two were so blessed to share 25+ years together, I’m sure it’s never enough. Breda often said how much she loved you, and it’s abundantly clear how much you loved her. She couldn’t have wished for a more dedicated and adoringly kind and compassionate partner and husband than you.
