My deepest sympathy to the Shaughnessy family on the death of Breege, who was my neighbour for the past 28 years. Her courage and determination were an example to some of us who moan about the slightest inconvenience. I shall miss chatting to her in the entrance hall and during her short walks in Leeson Park. Lord have mercy on her soul. May Breege rest in peace.

Sincere sadness to hear of the passing of Breege, a dear friend to all clients who attended St Mary's Community Day Centre in Rathmines. Always looking out for the wellbeing of others in the centre. And quick to let us, staff, know if another client looked like they needed help. My condolences to the family of Breege, my mother Catherine O’ Hara lived in the opposite apartment to Breege and they were good friends, I know Breege missed my mother a lot when she passed away in 2018. RIP Breege.

We were also neighbours in Ashfield Road, Ranelagh where we both lived in the house next door to each other in flatland over 35 years ago. My sincere sympathy to all of you on the death of Breege.
I first came in touch with Breege about 30 years ago when I joined the Central Statistics Office as statistician in tourism & transport section where Breege then worked. Over the next few years I got to know her quite well. She was gentle and led her staff with kindness and dignity. From time to time I look back on those early days I had in CSO and fondly recall Breege as a respected colleague and smiling friend. I am truly saddened to hear she has died.
