Our deepest sympathies to you all on the sudden passing of Brenda. Very sad news. She was a lovely woman & in particular she was always very interested in & kind to Eleanor. She will be sadly missed.

Sincere sympathy to Peter, Ciara, Killian and families on Brenda’s passing. Fond memories of shared times in the ‘80s as mature students in TCD’s History of Art Dept with lively debates, away days as well as many lunches then and later.
And, I’m now looking at some of Brenda’s notes from those times in that classic handwriting mentioned at her Mount Jerome Ceremony.
Tom also remembers Peter and Brenda’s hospitality one November evening in New York in the late ‘80s.

I did not know Brenda, but l knew of her, and of other members of the Quinn family, through Rick. Life goes on, but so does death, yet Brenda will live on, after her death, in Heaven, and in the memory of those who knew and loved her. I also remember a holiday in Renvyle, when it rained all day, every day and she excelled at keeping us all entertained. Brenda was always so very kind - a beautiful and elegant lady inside and out. Brenda was such a wonderful, friendly, lively person and the consummate entertainer. I had the great pleasure of attending wonderful dinners and events that she hosted in Dublin, Washington, and New York! Always elegant and looking beautiful, she attended my wedding in Philadelphia wearing the very best hat! Thinking of Peter, Ciara, Kilian, and all the grandkids at this great loss. We will all miss her so much.

Brenda was an incredibly vivacious, funny, and clever person whom I will remember with great fondness. My earliest memory of her was in the early '90s when she introduced us to creme brulees which she had just "happened" to have popped into the oven (and they just "happened" to be the most delicious ever). She had a wonderful verve and joy of life, and I'll miss her. Deepest sympathy to Peter, Ciara, Killian and family.

Dearest Ciara, Killian, Mr (call me "Peter") Doyle and Family, I really can't believe that Ma Doyle (call me "Brenda")/Faye Dunaway/Queen Nefertiti has gone to the other world. She will be so missed and my heart goes out to all of you. Mrs Doyle (and Mr Doyle) were always so good to me and it was lovely to have had them in my life for the past 43 years!!! Mrs Doyle was a beautiful, funny Lady. We shall miss her until we meet again.
