There is so much I could say about Auntie Frenda . She was truly one of a kind:) Loving, thoughtful, funny and courageous are just a few of many. She and Uncle Dick welcomed me and my family with open arms each time we visited . Our hearts are filled with many wonderful memories that we will carry and cherish forever. I am praying for all the Duffy family that your memories and love from Brenda give you comfort and peace today and always. Sending a huge hug filled with love to you all❤️

Deepest condolences to all of Brenda's loved ones. My mum Joan was a neighbour in Raheny many years ago and their mothers were also friends. I bumped into Brenda many times when I was younger and she was always so full of life, a real character and a lovely lady. So sorry for your loss, may she rest in peace.

How do you express in a few words the wonderful life of a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister, godmother, and our “Auntie Frenda.”?

A truly special woman who was a generous; funny; loving; kind and an absolutely fabulous character. We were certainly blessed to have her welcome our family as her own.

I will dearly miss our visits to Auntie Frenda’s kitchen and our biweekly check in calls.

God’s Love never dies and may she rest now in the arms of our Lord. May God also grant, the wonderful Duffy family, consolation, peace and healing as they mourn the loss of their beloved Brenda; Mammy and Nanny. 🙏🫶

Many people knew Brenda Duffy but only a few of us were able to call her “Nanny”. She is remembered here today by her family and friends, also by her grandchildren: Luke, Zach, Charlie, Thomas, Jamie, and myself. As you may have noticed, there is only one girl amongst them, me. Nanny always called me her little princess. Being the only granddaughter has its perks; I can always tell which presents are mine at Christmas because there is a corner under the tree that is full of pink. Nanny made me love that colour, she has made me love being a princess.

The ring that hangs around my neck was hers. And it was her mothers before her. I want to wear this ring around my neck because I will always hold her close to my heart. The Claddagh ring embodies the ideals of love, loyalty, and friendship.The heart at the centre to represent Love, the crown representing Loyalty, and the hands placed delicately around the two represent Friendship. Brenda Duffy embodied all of these traits and has passed these values onto everyone around her. To know my nanny was a blessing and an honour. Even more so to be loved by her.
