My brother and I go way back with Brendan and his kind and gentle parents. Memories of the card games in No. 1 . We spent our school years and sat our Leaving Certs together. Good humour was always his starting point to the day. He will be sadly missed.

My deepest sympathies to the Bolger family on Brendan's passing. I have fond memories of Brendan, his mother (Aunt Fronnie) and father (Mattie) from our visits from America to Dundalk. From the first meeting over 60 years ago, there was a cousin's connection which reached across the seas. And Brendan's visits to Chicago were memorable as well. Though we did not keep in constant touch, the times we shared were special. I am saddened for his loss.
