Please accept condolence on the death of Brendan. A real old style guard in Longwood for many years. He knew what "discretion" meant and how to apply it in the best traditions of the force. He hardly ever gave a summons to anybody local yet the village and the parish was one of the most law abiding places in Ireland during his time in charge. May he rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Brendans passing. Met Brendan for first time while walking my dog around Cootehall. We were talking dogs. Then we were talking boats and life. He came back aboard for a cuppa. And we all chatted for ages. Brendan always had time for a chat. X we were aboard the barge after that a few times for the tea. And he bought my aunts old homepLACE. Like her... the front door was always open and the kettle always close to hand. Gods gentle rest Brendan... you'll be greatly missed. Sincerest sympathies to all the Corrigan family at this time.
