Sincere condolences Deirdre,Caroline and Olivia-so sorry we missed the funeral service-Brendan was a great friend-although slightly younger than me he was a true minder for me both work and personal wise-I’ll miss a lot with Brendan gone even the hour long phone calls we had with himself doing 90% of the talking. Caroline and Olivia he was so proud of both of you and regularly regaled me with information about your success in the business world-we lit candles for all of you in the beautiful church in the square in Nerja yesterday-RIP my friend

Very sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Brendan. I have many fond memories of Brendan and my dad, Flan, as close friends getting into all sorts of mischief and fun for us youngsters to witness over the years. Especially the infamous renditions of Elvis which we always enjoyed prob much more than Deirdre and our mam Nellie did!

Very sorry to hear of Brendan's passing. I have very fond memories of Brendan, a great friend of my dad, Flan. Especially a trip to Anfield in the 90s with Brendan driving a rental car, and my dad navigating.. obviously we got lost and hilarity ensued.. a story that was retold many times over a pint!

Where to Start: Deirdre and Family i was so sad to hear of Brendans passing. I got to know him when i joined the Board of DCC.
Always struck me as the real deal...such a sharp mind and wit. And boy could he tell a story to illustrate a point.(.i recall a few regularly )was never afraid to tell it as it is.Only got to say hello a few times in recent years...Always in my head to ring him and call in to see him...but to my regret I didnt ,as he always had great welcome for me.
I am sure you all have Beautiful memories of him to keep ye going.
Brendan...i hope theve good spot up there for you...if not you will make it known in your own inimitable style.

Such sad news to hear about Brendan passing. Deirdre, Caroline and Olivia he will be missed around the Downs so much. Sitting on the wall, relaxing, taking it all in. He always had such great time for us as kids growing up in the area listing to us and telling us a story or two. We are all devastated by Brendan's passing. He was a fabulous uncle - kind, warm, funny and sometimes up for a good challenge. Growing up, he was the "favourite uncle", whom I always loved to meet. I have so many warm memories, particularly going to the Air Spectaculars in the 80s and 90s. He indulged my childhood interest in cars, as Brendan was the only relative who had new models!

We fondly remember many chats in The Downs with the kids and Antoinette, where Brendan was always interested in how everyone was getting on and where many laughs were had.

He was one of the greats, and many, many people will miss his wit and anecdotes. He had fantastic life experiences and many friends. He fostered a wonderful family, who now have a huge empty space. I know they will support each other, reflecting on how lucky they were to have him - and to have shared life together.

I always was and always will be honored to have him as an uncle. Blue skies Brendan, we'll miss you.

I have such fond memories of a kind and supportive colleague at Aer Lingus and of a truly brilliant storyteller - in the office and over many dinners made so memorable by his engaging company. One special memory is when he told me of the meeting in the Peter Owens office when, after many rejected concepts, the agency presented the storyboard, music and all, for what was to be The Mission - a famous piece of Aer Lingus and Irish advertising history. Brendan was a treasure and it was my honour to have known him. Rest in peace Brendan.
