My deepest condolences to the Dempsey Family may Brendan rest in peace
I knew Brendan through An Óige Hillwalking and can't help smiling when I think of him. My thoughts go out to his family, and to his many, many friends.

I can't say rest in peace when it comes to Brendan, as I picture him looking back with a mischievous smile, as if to say "Are you feeling ok, would you like some fresh air, will I open the minibus skylight...?" So, I prefer to think of him up there, at The Great Big Gig in the Sky, free as a bird, a skylark, maybe. He'll be missed.
Sincere Condolences to the Dempsey family on the death of Brendan R.I.P. I have great memories of Brendan from the Hillwalkers Section of An Oige back in the 1990's ; especially when he opened the sky vent on one of Dunnes Buses. It flew off and the driver had to do a U turn to retrive it. It was great when Brendan came along on any hike.
I am sorry for your lost. Sorry to hear the news!. A hillwalker fron an Oiga.
Tony, Steven , Sandra and Caroline and family .Just a note to say how sorry I was to hear of your Dad’s passing. I remember him fondly heading down to the beach in Donabate for a swim in all weathers. He was a gentle gentleman. The O’Mahony family Egan’s field

What an inspiration he was with his love of the hills and his sense of humour.
He stayed with us in Cork in 2006 and went hiking on the Galtees with us, it was a lovely weekend and we enjoyed his company.
We were also delighted to have visited him at his home last July, and nice to see that he was in good spirits.

He was a true legend. May he rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to you Caroline and to your mother and family on the loss of your dad. Hopefully there are plenty of hills to walk and pianos to play on the other side. May he rest in peace.

Brendan brought such warmth and humour to the Sunday An Oige hikes. May he rest in peace.
Sorry to hear of Brendan's passing. It was always great to see him pass our house on his way to another hill walking adventure..and then to see him coming back and hear about his day. May he R.I.P.
Mr Dempsey sold my dad a guitar in the 1960s that started me on my own musical journey years later. His shop may be long gone but I still fondly remember it for the warm welcome and encouragement he extended to inept youngsters like me. RIP.
Sorry to hear of the loss of Brendan. It's close to 30 years since I last saw him. My grandad Patrick (his brother) passed away when I was young, but to me they had a real likeness. Very best wishes to all the family.
