A great loss, following an illness borne with great fortitude and dignity. Sorry that I was unable to be there., due to unforeseen circumstances.
Anyone who knew Brendan can tell as John Ryan did stories of Bren, there were stories.we could share and those we choose not to " what goes on tour stays on tour". I met Brendan in 1999 and enjoyed and shared in both happy and sad occasions and Bren and Dolly took me in for 10.weeks when apt purchase stalled in 2006
Those we love are close by even though they died their spirit remains. May Bren, rest easy in the gentle loving arms of God, in whom he firmly believed at peace with all who predeceased him
My deepest sympathy and love and thoughts are with you all Egan and Dolly's Family and Extended families on both sides.
Where there is great grief there is and was great love. St. Paul to the Corinthians tell us Faith hope hope love and greater of these is love as love goes on forever.
In the arms of the angels, may Bren find...great comfort there.

Brendan Egan R.I.P
President,
Ballinteer Men’s Shed.
On a sad week for Ballinteer Men’s Shed, we remember our President Brendan Egan who sadly passed away.
Brendan was with us since our establishment in 2017, and deservedly became president of our social inclusion initiative.
Many of our current members would refer to Brendan as the first person they met when they walked into the Ballinteer Men’s Shed, as it was Brendan that would be the first up to greet a new face and it wouldn’t be long before a new member would find out more about Newtownmountkennedy before finding out more information on Ballinteer Men’s Shed.
Brendan was proud of where he came from, and he let it be known to absolutely everyone.
A far from shy man, who contributed hugely to the men’s shed in Ballinteer, always a smile on his face and making others smile too. Good company to be in and always joking around, like his hometown, it wouldn’t be long before you would hear about Brendan’s life as a butcher.
Brendan was a brilliant character, a ‘yapper’ who brought great energy to the shed.
Brendan will be missed by all, May He Rest In Peace.
