Brendan was such a lovely man, and was so kind to me when I moved to Amsterdam. Brendan has left a lasting legacy with Amsterdam GAC with all the friendships, memories and success that we will be forever grateful for.

Nogmaals gecondoleerd met het verlies van Brendan. Ik ben blij Brendan te hebben leren kennen, al was het maar relatief kort, en tijdens een heftige en intense periode. Het deed mij goed tijdens de dienst alle mooie, persoonlijke verhalen te horen. En begrijp ik beter waarom we elkaar snel en makkelijk vonden in de tijd dat ik met Monique samen was. Wilma en Robin, super sterk en ontroerend hoe jullie in de kerk over Brendan spraken, en Milan, je hebt een goede smaak qua muziek;-). Veel sterkte met alles dat komen gaat, met de goede herinneringen en zware momenten. En ik koester Brendan's laatste appje, een week voor kerst, waarin hij op het hart drukte te genieten van familie en kinderen. Dat krijgt een extra betekenis. Veel liefs, Richard

Our sincere condolences to Wilma, Robin, Milan, Uncle Patsy and all the Finnegan family. Brendan will be greatly missed, he always had a great sense of humour, positive attitude and did more with his 50 years, than most do with many more, yet gone too soon. Brendan did indeed put up a great fight to a horrible disease. Unfortunately we couldn't be there to offer our condolences on this sad day. The service was very moving and a great tribute to Brendan.

It's been amazing watching you fight the cancer for 9 long years with patience and without complaint - you won, time and time again.

I'll miss everyone thinking I was one of your brothers at parties.

Al zo’n 7 jaar stonden wij naast Brendan bij de rugby van onze jongens. Wij kenden hem als een lieve betrokken en enthousiaste vader van Milan. Altijd zou Brendan 1000x eerder vragen hoe het met jou ging dan dat hij zou zeggen dat hij zich misschien niet zo goed voelde.
Die lieve, dappere, warme en grappige Brendan gaat ook langs de lijn gemist worden.
