Martha, Sheila, Sinéad, Dermot and families. I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Dad and husband, Brendan. Although I only ever met Brendan a few times, with Martha and Michelle, he was always so friendly and welcoming. May you find strength in the wonderful memories you have of him and with him. Sincere Condolences to Sheila and the Fitzpatrick Family. We lived on River Valley Park in the 1980's and I have fond memories of Brendan always out walking and singing at mass when I was a kid. Also stopping for a chat with my Dad. A Lovely man. May he Rest in Peace.

My sincerest condolences to Sheila and your family on the passing of Brendan.I am a resident of Rivervalley/Rathingle for just a little over 40 years now.I remember him from the church choir and just casually around Rivervalley for that amount of time.A very nice man.May Brendan rest in peace.

We are so sorry to hear about Brendan, it’s devastating. He was one of a kind; funny, kind, generous, patient. He was gentle, though he made you feel safe and secure. His love for his family was legendary, and as his niece, my own family was loved by him, and it was the best feeling. He was a wonderful host in his home (often without any advance notice!) and a great guest anywhere he went. No singsong will ever be the same without his contributions. We are the richer for having known him and we will miss him so much.

Sheila, Martha, Dermot, Sinead, Aidan, Sarah, Derek and the grandkids - we send you our love from Melbourne and wish we could hug you and be with you to share the fantastic memories of him.

Such wonderful memories of a very cherished Uncle. The long chats, his singing, his big hearty laugh, how immaculately presented he always was and his unwavering attention to detail. His kindness and patience - many a night he taxied us home, he was always so good humoured and enjoyed the craic!
He was a true-blue Dublin GAA supporter. I will never forget watching the 2016 All-Ireland Final replay with him. As happy as he was for the Dubs to win, he knew my Mayo heart was broken and I felt that beautiful empathy and compassion he had in that big hug at the final whistle. We will miss the times we shared on his visits to our home in Bohola. We loved him immensely.
