Testament to Brendan's popularity and high esteem in the community is all the kind eulogies in this book. Brendan is sadly missed by his oldest neighbours, The Regan's & McNulty's of Lavagh and all the families in the surrouding townlands of Dristernan and beyond.

Brendan was a man for all seasons, a all round Tradesman, no matter what the trouble in any household he arrived there and then to help and his advice and support was always appreciated. A fast learner. Over the decades Brendan would have moved from Horse power to Combustion Engine and Electricity, and also the most recent Digital age. I've known Brendan all my life, he was a true friend and Gentleman; He loved a good story, always up for the fun and craic, “Ha I don't be coddin” he would tell us as children if we had doubts about something he would say or promise. Many fond memories of a lifetime will be had when I think of Brendan, his passing is the end of an era in the locality.

Sincere condolences to his brother John (UK), sister Bridie (UK), sister-in-law Phyllis, Nieces & Nephews, especially his carers Michael & Karen Gillooly, Mary (Gillooly) & Robert Donaldson, relatives, and his very good and loyal friend of recent years; Ann (Clyne) Walsh, Drumsna.

Many fond memories of Brendan calling into the Old Post Office Lough Allen en route to his cousin Tommy and Aunt Rita in Tarmon House, Spencer Harbour. In later years, meeting him at family gatherings and the Lisduff School Reunion. A joyful occasion, thanks to Brendan.

We are all so sad to hear of the passing of our dear neighbour and good friend Brendan. Brendan was truly a wonderful neighbour who was ever ready to give a helping hand, no task was ever too much to tackle. Brendan brought the 1st Christmas tree with lights to this house back in the 60’s, he was ahead of his time, he always delighted in trying out new inventions. Brendan was a hard worker who knew how to enjoy life. We will treasure our fond memories with him forever. He will be sadly missed by all of us whose lives he touched. We will miss you Brendan and may heaven be your new home. May you rest in heavenly peace until we all meet again ❤️
