It is with a deep personal sadness that I have just learned of Brendan's passing.
Our paths first crossed in the early days of our involvement with LIA (UK) in the 70's.
His enthusiasm and drive directly led to the formation of the LIA in Ireland, and was consistently involved in growing it to the great entity it is today.
Always a true gentleman and the ultimate visionary, his kind personality and friendship will be missed- but his legacy lives on.
Rest in Peace Brendan

My deepest sympathies Una & family on the passing of Brendan. What a fine, good man he was. It was always a pleasure to work with Brendan in the LIA. He was a fantastic mentor. He always had a great sense of humour. A very level headed man. I was saddened to hear of his passing. May he rest In peace.
Heartfelt condolences to all the Glennon family. It was a great privilege to have had Brendan as my first boss. He was always encouraging and appreciated our efforts. His sense of humour was great and I know he has passed so many of his great qualities to his family. May he rest in peace.
With deepest sympathy. Brendan will be remembered with respect and fondness. May he rest in peace.
Being honoured as an official Leprechaun Princess was a most amazing experience…organized and executed under the watchful eye of my dear friend and “fixer” partner, Brendan Glennon. I’m at a loss for words to express my appreciation for the opportunities I had to work with this wonderful gentleman who has left us all with some fabulous memories. There certainly was something magical taking place when Brendan Glennon and I met in Denver back in 2007. He arrived at my home to collect materials for the UK/Irish Social at Coors Field and I had friends and clients visiting…Brendan held “court” in my backyard with some fabulous stories shared with all of the guests…I don’t believe anyone will ever forget that experience…I certainly haven’t. No other Princess has ever received the recognition Brendan bestowed on me and I was proud to work with him on every detail of the activities we coordinated together. The “lads” I met through our wonderfully successful UK/Irish Social evenings and the friendships made were showcased at our “Wind Down” at the conclusion of the MDRT functions… the joy on Brendan’s face was enough to know we had been successful. My prayers are with Brendan. I ask him to raise his glass in a toast to his life and everything he made so much better, just by getting involved. I hope to keep his spirit alive through my memories of LIA, MDRT and the LEPRECHAUNS. Brendan shared this toast often "to be assured there will be another day where we will come together again.”
To Brendan’s family and friends, sending condolences to you all and thinking and praying for you all at this sad time.
May your memories of happier times with Brendan help you all as you treasure the special times you all spent together.
May his gentle soul Rest in Eternal Peace

Sincere condolences to Una, Brian, John, Peter, Fiona and extended family. Was sorry to have been abroad at the time of Brendan's funeral. Always an engaging and courteous character who used to give me lifts to primary with John way back when... I particularlly remember how nice he treated me when I worked in his office in Kimmage for a couple of weeks when I was going through a rough patch. Never heard anyone say a bad word about him. R.I.P
Condolences to Una & Family on the sad passing of Brendan a shock to those who knew him. Happy memories of our time in the L.I.A. and the many functions and sing songs, he will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Such a shock to hear of Brendan's passing and our deepest sympathy to Una and all the family.
Brendan was like a mentor to so many people in the broking world including myself and gave his time and encouragement so freely.
Remberence of Days in Carnac and campsites where he introduced our family to life outside work are still remembered with fondness
Brendan wore so many hats and the primary one was his love for his family.
May he rest in peace

Brendan Glennon, the first CEO of the Life Assurance Association of Ireland, always had words of encouragement for new financial advisors and brokers setting up on their own. He encouraged advisors to attend the annual conferences of the Million Dollar Round Table (the international membership body representing 35,000 financial advisors from 70 different countries) held in North America every June. He organised each year (for over a thirty-year period) a party for the Irish delegation at the MDRT, before Brendan's Irish party became one of the hottest tickets in town for international delegates each year, attracting 970 revellers for the final "Irish " party in New Orleans in 2016.
When some people die, it feels as if hill is gone. With Brendan Glennon's passing, a mountain has disappeared. May this kind and decent man rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Brendan’s passing. He had so many unique talents
- pioneering
- leadership
- negotiation skills, you couldn’t say no!
- ability to make things happen.
He was truly inspiring and left a huge legacy… our industry simply wouldn’t be the same today without him.
Above all, he was a great friend to us all.
Such a sad time, but a time also to remember a great man.
My thoughts and prayers are with Una, Brian and all his family.

Brendan is deservedly remebered among our Pilgrimage 'Family' for his sterling contribution to building a tradition of service to the Assisted/Sick Pilgrims of the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes which continues to this day. He led the Archbishop's Colleges Volunteer Corps as their Commander on their first Lourdes Pilgrimage in 1962. His continued support for the Corps and their involvement with the pilgrimage continued until their disbandment in 2009. Brendan is fondly remembered by the many former Corps members who still volunteer with the pilgrimage and by many other pilgrimage colleagues for his kindness and gentle manner. On behalf of the DDPL I offer our deepest sympathy to Una and Family at this time of great loss. Brendan and all his loved ones will be especially remebered in all the Masses and prayers of our forthcoming Pilgrimage 2025 in early September. Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Bernadette pray for Brendan and all who mourn him.

Brendan was special; but we all know that. Too soon to go. He did me some good turns, bless him.
All I can do on Wednesday is to watch webcam - from Church and crematorium. But I'll be thinking of this good guy who has left us, as we all must.
