I first met Brendan at a dry stone festival in Offaly in 2013. From the moment we met it was clear to me that Brendan was so very passionate about his connection to stone. We subsequently had many great chats across a wall at an event or over the phone. I have many very fond memories of times spent with Brendan. He was a gentleman. It was a privilege to have known him, and I will never forget him.
