Brendan McDonald

A sad Goodbye to my youngest and much loved brother-in-law Brendan. My daughters have lovely memories of him, as have I. Martin and I used to give him 6p.regularly for taking messages between my office and their shop when Brenda was a young lad - he was our “telephone” back in the early 60’s. A lovely person.

Brendan, you were simply the funniest, warmest, and most lovely Uncle I could have ever wished for. I have such fond memories of you in London when I was growing up, and your house in Chiswick with the train line at the bottom of the garden. I loved coming to visit you for a cheeky pint in Dublin in the last few years when I was travelling over, and our text messages about all the missed birthday presents you must have stored up in your role of Godfather. You are one in a million and have made the world a better place by your time in it. Will miss you so, go and give your big brothers up there a huge hug. Dad will look after you, Emma ❤️

Shocked & really saddened to hear that Brendan has passed away.
Brendan handled my accounts for the last 42 years. He was one of nature’s gentlemen & I’m certainly going to miss our chats & interactions. He showed great patience & good humour dealing with my ineptitude & chaotic paperwork. He was one of a kind & I’ll be missing him sorely. So sorry not to have known Brendan passed away & to have missed his funeral.

Sharada and I are very sad that Uncle Brendan has passed away. We have many fond memories of Uncle Brendan. I remember the amazing triumph car he had when he was living in Chiswick. He dropped us over to Uncle Martin’s and Aunty Bridgie’s. We were amazed at the number of music cassettes he had. He was the cool young Uncle. He was a good teacher as well. He had the patience to explain things when giving me commerce grinds when I was at school. He was very witty and funny in that calm McDonald way. We will miss him very much and we want to send our love and thoughts to Martina, Ger, Jessica and Ruth at this sad time. Uncle Brendan hopefully we will all meet again sometime. Ger, Martina, Ruth and Jess. So sad that Brendan has passed. My daddy, Joe Mcdonald, will miss his brother Bren. The McDonald brothers certainly stuck together through life and these two saw each other a lot because they both lived near each other. They spent many a good night together with their Claires.
Uncle Brendan had a great sense of humour and a wicked laugh. He will be missed by all of us. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.

Such a sad loss

I am stunned and sad beyond belief. Benny was my oldest and best friend since i was 3! We were sent to school together ( Miss Savage, i thnk ) . We grew up on Church Street and I remember his parents well and all his brothers. My memories are endless and will be cherished for ever. I know that his Parents and brothers will be waiting for him . I saw him in April 2023 when as ever his memory of our time growing up was unbelievable. May God's light shine on hin now and for ever - my good friend Benny.

So shocked to hear about Benny's passing.I will always remember the great days in London,a few years ago. A true friend had departed.
