Very sorry Eva .Deepest Sympathy.
Eva I am so sorry to hear of Brendan's death. I worked with him first in Ballyfermot in the middle eighties and I have very fond memories of his incredible wit. I thought of you the other day when I was in Wexford. Mind yourself during this awful time.

Dear Eva, I have just read the death notice about Brendan, am stunned and so saddened. Had he been ill? He was such an intelligent lad and always polite and courteous to me. This is unbelievable. Hope you are fairly OK. Concepta Mulligan / Neylon passed away this week too.

My deepest condolences to all the family especially to my dear friend, Paddy. It must be nearly 40 years since I last met Brendan but when I see his photo here it reminds me of him so clearly. His sharp intellect and dry, even caustic, wit, delighted me as a 15-16 year-old. He graciously hosted us on our first trip to Dublin, Paddy, when we spent hours in Freebird and the second-hand record shops in the backstreets. He was happy to engage in serious debate with his kid brother's friend and recommended good writers to check out. He gave me copies of Joan Didion's 'White Album' and 'Slouching Towards Bethlehem' with instruction, not recommendation, that I read them! He left witty remarks on the inner sleeves of records I loaned you, for me to discover months later. Warm memories of great times and a lovely man.
Deepest sympathy to Anne and all the McGrath family.
