Sincere condolences to Eileen and family on the sad passing of Brendan. I have fond memories of meeting Brendan over the years. He was a great friend of my father Peter (who passed away in March) since their days together in UCD in the early 1950's. I will always remember the stories my father used to tell about their adventure over land together to Spain in 1958. May Brendan rest in peace.

We were so blessed to meet Mr. Morrissey on his daily walks through the neighborhood in Massachusetts. He was always asking for "jeff" and we will never forget his infectious smile and charming talks.

Dear Eileen, we are very sorry to hear of Brendan's death. He was a true gentleman and a true friend.

I was very sad to hear of Brendan's passing. Brendan was running the Monday Knights at Hermitage when I first joined the club and was welcomed by a true Gentleman. It was always a pleasure to play and then dine with him or just meet up after our round. We were all very fond of Brendan and when the sad news was posted on our WhatsApp group, there were many messages of sorrow and remembrance.
There were some beautiful words for him at the on-line funeral service. Although we weren't there in person we are with the family and friends of Brendan in spirit.

So sorry to hear this news. Only had a chat with him last week. What a kindly and friendly gentleman he was. Great memories of all the laughs a group of us shared on the way home from 7.30 Mass.

I am truly sorry to hear the news about Brendan. I first met him back in ’72 when he was the stiurathoir of the Colaiste Mhuire past pupils’ conference of St Vincemt De Paul. I enjoyed accompanying him on house visits where I witnessed his kindness and empathy at close quarters. He was always received with warmth and delight.

I was later really pleased when he popped up as a member of Hermitage where we frequently enjoyed the conversation and the surroundings more than the search for errant golf balls.

His warmth and upbeat nature were an inspiration to all he met. He will be sorely missed. My sincere sympathies to Eileen and family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam!
