I first met Brendan Mulvaney in 1997 shortly after my appointment as Curate of Fiddown Union of parishes. Very quickly I learned I had met with a gentleman, a warm smile and welcome into Carrick-on-Suir which was the beginning of a true and lasting friendship. Brendan encouraged me with others to join the Lions Club. With the gift of an excellent voice in the church choirs, he was always a welcome visitor with his friends to our Community Carol service and other occasions.
To visit Brendan and Maureen in their home was always a special time.
We thank Brendan for his service and kindess to the community in so many ways over the years. May Brendan rest in peace and rise in glory.

He was one of natures gentlemen contributing so much to the town in raising funds for all the various charities he was involved with.
