Brendan Noone

My heart felt wishes go out to Margaret and Brendans family.
Brendan was such a lovely man, and I was very fond of him and will always be grateful to him for taking the time with mum and myself travelling down to Cork to visit where my grandad was born. Without this trip I wouldn't have remembered for myself as I was a small child when I travelled there with my Grandad and family.
And of course, we had a great time in Dublin along with Charlie, sinking a few jars and dancing to the small hours. A trip and a man I will always remember dearly.

So sorry to hear the sad news of Brendans death. Played hurling together with Whitehall back in the old days, always enjoyed his company. May the light of heaven shine on his soul. Sorry we were unable to attend his funeral,we convey our heartfelt sympathy to his partner Margaret and family. Conor talked with Brendan in Croker about our days in the trenches with Whitehall manys a happy day we had. God be with you all, Maura and Frank Berry.

I am very saddened to read of the passing of Brendan. He was a valued teammate in years gone by on many Railway Union hockey teams. Always reliable and fought valiantly in the trenches often in a losing cause. And always good company in the bar afterwards no matter what the result was.
