I'm very sorry to hear of Brendan's death. He was an excellent teacher at the ISIH - and a lovely gentleman.

My most sincere condolences to the O’Brien family at this sad time. I feel lucky and privileged to have had such an amazing teacher and mentor. Brendan, affectionately known to us all as BOB, was a very well respected gentleman with a wry sense of humour and a generous kind heart. He wanted the best for his students and helped us strive to reach our potential. We owe him so much thanks. I have very fond memories of my time at the I.S.I.H

Fond memories of Brendan joining ISIH, the 3rd lecturer as I was entering my final year in 1968. Brendan definitely made a good watchmaking school better.

Condolences to Breda and family on the sad death of Brendan .Got to know Brendan when we moved to the Crescent. An absolute gentleman. May he rest in peace.
A renowned watchmaker once said, every time a watchmaker goes into retirement, there is a page missing and that page cannot ever be replaced. Mr. O’Brien’s passing removes chapters.

Brendan was not only a fantastic teacher and mentor but a sincere friend to all at the ISIH and beyond. I have many great and fond memories of BOB.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Brendan’s passing. A true gentleman and a pleasure to be in his company. He was one of our lecturers in the Irish Swiss Institute of Horology. My sympathies to all his family. May he Rest In Peace.

Fond memories of watching Brendan play in the glory days of League of Ireland One of my childhood heroes playing for Shelbourne in the 60's and often got his autograph when he trained at Irishtown stadium. Always willing to provide same to a young fan. Can still picture him in his red shelbourne shirt, Thanks for the memories Brendan.
