Brendan O'Riordan

So sad to just learn about the passing of Brendan and Kay so close to one another.
Brings back great memories of knowing this beautiful couple during our days at BOI Park Street, Dundalk.
May they rest in peace

While I was sincerely saddened to hear of the loss of Brendan and the sudden double loss to Karen, Deirdre and all the family, an image that was quick to form in my mind was of Kay up above at side of our Lord Jesus, telling Him that she'd never had tea the likes of what she was getting in this place and it was a crying shame that Brendan couldn't get a cup from the same pot while it was still hot.

Many's the time I was offered tea at Rushbrook and the warmth offered to me by Kay, Brendan, Karen and especially my friend Deirdre is one which I hope to keep alive and to pass on in my own home and family as part of the tradition of all that is good in our country and in our culture.

Sincere sympathies to Deidre and to Karen; I will continue to accompany you with my prayers at this time.

Brendan will be fondly remembered by both myself and my husband Allan. We found him to be a true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. He and Allan shared a love of the Goons, so whenever we were together there was always plenty of laughter and fun.
