The news of Brendan's unexpected death fills me with feelings of sadness and thanksgiving; sadness at the loss of a dear old fr personal friend and dear friend of so many in the Mahon area; but thanksgiving for his lifelong service in the local community.. Jim, Anna and family, We are so saddened to learn of the death of your dearly loved Dad. Brendan was and will always be highly respected for many roles in our community. Being a man of such tremendous faith, his devotion and commitment to our Parish was exemplary. We will miss the long chats in Church after Mass and on Ringmahon Road. Brendan believed in helping people and his community which he certainly did all through his life. He gave his time freely and was so sincere and christian when dealing with everyone. He loved his Credit Union, St. Michaels and was so proud of its success. He has now been reunited with your beloved Mum Bridie. Rest in peace in Heaven Brendan which you so richly deserve.
