We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you, Bernie, on the untimely passing of your beloved husband Brendan. I first met him in Harcourt Terrace nearly 50 years ago when we worked together. Over the past decades, we had very enjoyable times trekking in the hills. He was a gentle soul and will always be in our memories. May he rest in peace.

I joined An Garda Siochana with Brendan in September 1976 and as fate would have it we were both assigned to Harcourt Terrace and the same unit (B) in February 1977. It was my privilege to work with such an honourable gentleman who was a fantastic colleague and dedicated member of An Garda Siochana. It was always a pleasure to meet Brendan over the years. I was very saddened to hear of his passing.
