He made me feel very welcome and put me at my ease in his court.I have fond memories of appearing before him in District No.18. He was a very good and fair judge, respectful to all who appeared in his court. He was a gentleman both on and off the bench.

Sincere sympathy to Ursula and your family and the extended Wallace family on the death of Brendan. I first met him in 1986 when I moved to West Cork from Cork City. As a Sergeant I prosecuted cases in a number of Courts before Judge Wallace. In the 1990s,as an Inspector, I would prosecute before him a few days every week, appearing in every Court throughout District 18 at a time when there were District Courts from Coachford to Castletownbere and from Kinsale to Millstreet. It was a pleasure to appear before him. A man with a huge knowledge of the law and procedure who was polite,courteous,understanding and sympathetic during the business of the Courts which were run very smoothly by him. An outstanding Judge. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May Brendan rest in peace.
