Dear Catriona & family,
I was so very sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing, especially coming so soon after the loss of your Mam. It is such a heavy burden to carry in such a short space of time.
We watched the funeral in Castleblayney with my Dad, Joe Quinn, who worked alongside your Dad all those years ago in An Garda Síochána. He thought very highly of both your Dad and your Mam and spoke of them with great respect and fondness. It meant a lot to him to be able to be part of the farewell. We would have loved to be there but it is my mother’s Month Mind so we know your pain of loss. .
I have lovely memories of your Mam and Dad visiting us in Downings many moons ago — the laughter and the fun we shared.
The funeral was truly beautiful, and your eulogy was so heartfelt and dignified. You truly did your Dad proud.
May your Mam and Dad now watch over you and give you strength in the days ahead. You are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this sad and difficult time.
