So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. He was a great comrade and union man in IIRS, Eolas and Forbairt. He will be missed. May he rest in peace
My sincere sympathy to Olwen & Family on the passing of Brian, a larger than life character. In the IIRS there were two categories of people, Culchies and Dubs. There was no mistaking which category Brian belonged to, what with his ascerbic wit and sense of humour. He was a reservoir of adages and ripostes which firmly labelled him a true Dub. One of my favourites was Brian's description of any person who was inclined to be truculent, un-cooperative and generally ackward to be like the new army recruit who refused to wear the leggings.
Condolences to Brian's family on his all too early passing. Knew him from CY days and later in the Park labouring in CS Thirds.Rest easy Brian.

He was a tough opponent in hockey and cricket when I played against him. But a nicer guy would be hard to meet off the pitch.
