The road that Brian lived on was built on a strong cultural and historical tradition. Some of it with its back to a lake that continues to make the county it's slender waist. Here among neighbours he would develop his skills and like many before him would depart for a while. Those years would give him the opportunity to return and participate in the life of rural regeneration and progressive Farming. Brian reared good cattle and hadn't far to bring them for sale where they were keenly sought after. It was on such roads like his that the hopes and dreams of generations we're carried on the backs of fine well bred stock. I got to know him during these times. Sunday Mass at the Poor Clare Convent was a constant at 8 in earlier years and 9 now. Extra seats were put out to meet demand and collected after. Brian volunteered to help and involved Shane, Ann Marie and Conor his young family at that time. And so time changed and ill health brought about a greater story of care and love and treasured memories that made our admiration grow stronger. May he rest in Peace
