While we were only neighbours for a short time, he was a very good neighbour, always smiling and quick to say hello and pass a few minutes at the door when I arrived home from work with many of his interesting stories from his past. It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of Brian Dawson, We offer our sincere and deepest sympathy to Brian’s family, his daughter Olivia and sister Mary, nieces and nephew’s, extended families and many friends.
Remembering Brian from our school day,s together in the Dean Kelly NS and my many meeting's and many great chats with him during my working life.
Brian’s great soccer skill’s during those day’s were well known and recognised particularly in the school boy league at that time, throughout his playing years, and indeed the passing on his many skills and knowledge to younger players. Remembering Brian when we met over the years , alway’s a gentleman, his very friendly nature and keeping the bright side up at all times. Reflecting also on the many chats we had over the years and particularly during the big Man united matches in the Grove. Brians life and great passion was soccer and indeed you needed to know your football before debating the Match “Post Mortems” with Brian.
May his gentle Soul rest in peace.
