I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Brian. My thoughts are with you Pauline, Deidre, Ciara, Niall, Turlough and Eoin - albeit from afar. I deeply regret not being there to pay my respects in person, but I do so in my absence. It’s a profound loss and an end to an era that encompassed both our families. Brian and my Dad enjoyed a relationship of mutual fondness - something to do with cars no doubt; despite myself, Niall and Turlough undoubtedly causing him no end of anxiety when we were kids (and older). May he now air-conduct opera scores and smoke Benson & Hedges to his heart’s content. RIP Brian.

I was indeed very sorry to hear of Brian's death. My sympathy to Pauline and family. I met him most recently at my sister Fiona's funeral. May they both rest in peace.
