So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I hadn't seen him in years but i have happy childhood memories of visiting him and his family in their holiday home in Fore back in the 80s. Also of being allowed to access his desktop one time when me and my brother were allowed into his and my Dads office in the Airport as kids. Fun times and I remember Brian as being a really decent chap. My condolences to Marie and all the family.

Unfortunately we didn't get to meet up due to COVID when he was researching family histories. (Second cousins stage). So sad to hear of Brian's death. My sincere sympathy to Maria, Rory, Sean, Isabel, Carmel and extended families of Brian. I often chatted with him when he cycled around the roads of Balheary. Brian was a very sociable and pleasant man to meet, always had time for a chat.
May his soul now have passed through the gate of Heaven into the welcoming arms of his Eternal Father, Lord Jesus Christ, to enjoy the glorious bliss and enlightenment of Eternity.

Brian joined Ops control near the end of his career in Aer Lingus and despite that, he showed that he had an extraordinary intellect by coming to terms with all things aviation in a very short time.

He soon passed the FAA flight dispatcher exam in new York
And was the first head of our own school for foreign students who wish to sit for this exam. He even brought the school to Istanbul for three months, to accommodate Pegasus and Turkish airlines students.

Brian was the proud head master of an elite school with 100 pc success rate .
Brian had a great sense of humour and a great store of stories.
Cycling to work for a 6am start in O Connell (PBO).
His eye became transfixed
With a light that came on a balcony flat near Croke Park.
A door opened the sound of two slaps across the cheek of a girl who began to cry loudly due to shock and pain.
Her mother shouted at the top of her voice
" I'll you Dickie Rock till 5 in the morning ".
Another legend has moved on
