Sincere condolences to all the family on the untimely passing of Brian.
Brian was a fantastic, kind and caring individual always possessing a can do attitude. I’ll miss our chats about Irish athletics and I know how proud he was to win that international masters cross country medal representing Ireland in 2021. Brian was the glue that connected many people and projects - an example of this was that he was the main instigator of introducing a new category “Classic Album” at this years RTÉ Choice Music Prize which turned out to be Sinead O’ Connor’s last public appearance. Brian worked his magic in many ways. Thinking of Céire, Rowan, Libby and Brian’s extended family.
My deepest sympathies to Ceire, Roro and Libby, and to all Brian's friends and family.
It was news that completely stopped us in our tracks. Such tragic news.
Brian was such a warm, friendly, good humoured guy. We'd chew the cud about running, training, family and life out on runs or in the RTE changing rooms. Such an impressive runner and man, happy to encourage and support with his always positive attitude. He will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Pat, Sharon and Ada

Céire, I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss. There are no words.

You, Rowan, Libby, Néad & Nora were the absolute light of his life. He talked about you all the time, sent photos and shared all the daily joys and big milestones with the same amount of pride.

In one of our last messages, he sent me so many photos of you guys that he said,' Ok, I will stop now' but he didn't. He sent one more, then one more after that.

I am sending you all so much love and strength. He was the best of us.
