Dear Marie and family - my heartfelt condolences to you on the death of a dear son and brother. I have only become aware of his passing in the past couple of days and I find it difficult to come to terms with it. Even though I haven't met Brian since he was very young he seems to have grown into a wonderful human being - became a husband and a dad and seemingly loved by family and friends. What a loss to all of you - you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest sympathies to Gail, your dear Mother and extended family. Just to let you know we’er thinking of you, bless his beautiful soul. Hold all those great memories you all shared with him, and let them live on with you all. Attracta, Lisa Hempenstall & family. Gorey.

If we'd known the last time,
Was going to be the last time, we never would have left.
We would have taken all the chances, to tell you how we felt.
Your friendship was a gift to us, one we took for granted.
Because we didn't know you'd soon be gone, soon to be lamented.
Your smiling eyes, infectious laugh, and beautifully kind soul.
Was a gift to every one of us, your loss has left a hole.
We will remember all the love you gave when we are feeling low.
For Brian you were greatly loved, and we will miss you so.

Dearest Marie, Lizanne, Gail and Judith - I am so sad to hear of Brian’s untimely passing. You are very much in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. My deepest sympathies Marie and family
I find it hard to put into words how incredibly sad I am that Brian is gone. Far far too early. I can't actually believe i am writing this for him.
He was a great friend, caring, funny, honest and would do anything for you.
I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Brian from when we were 17 up in the Bull and Bear celebrating a Friday night, lounging around our house in Sandycove sitting in the kitchen laughing and chatting for hours, from parties in one of our houses, mostly in the McCormicks, to celebrating our 50th birthdays more recently.
He was full of love and made people laugh with him. He had the best laugh.
It was an honour to know Brian and call him a dear friend. I will miss him very very deeply.
Larissa, Alexis, Sophia. Marie, Lizanne, Gail and Judith, sending you my deepest condolances. I know things will never be the same without him in your lives.
I feel the same.
Love, Sarah

He was a gentle giant with such a big heart. I have so many great childhood memories growing up in Carysfort Downs with Brian & the Gang. It was great meeting up with the whole gang at the Bull&Bear Pub in Stillorgan during the summer of 1993 uoon graduating high school in the United States. Brian made me feel so Welcome. We had the opportunity to meet up again in County Wicklow in recent years. So many conversations on the phone also. He was always there for his friends and his family. I’m going to miss you Brian. You were the best of the best. You were taken way too soon. I’m with you all in spirit during this very sad time. Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

This is a few years ago….
My best memory of Brian, was when we were told to leave the bar of the Peninsula Hotel (Bangkok) at c. 2 am; just before Brian started singing David Soul’s “Don’t give up on Us”.
Moreover, we found out that it was the India’s Minster of Defence, who was staying too, went mental with all the singing coming from the bar…
Good times.

Heartfelt sympathy to Brian’s family at this sad time.
Brian was one of my best friends.
When I worked in London, one of the best things about coming home every couple of weekends was that Brian and friends would be there to welcome you back over a drink [or two].
Brian’s dad was also a lovely man who was in the same ward as my father in Donnybrook a few years ago.
My sister and I enjoyed chatting to Harry who said Brian was always busy working, looking after his family.
Brian looked after those he loved, that’s for sure.
A gentleman and a credit to his parents. Rest in peace Brian.

Brian, you had the most infectious laugh.
You lived life to the full, and always left your mark wherever you went.
Back in our school days we just hung out, and then as we grew up we loved The Bull and Bear, Hollywood Nights, Jesters, the Toyota Carina 2, the Nissan Micra, and just having a great time.
You also introduced me to Fiona, and that is your legacy to me, and I never got to thank you for that.
My most heartfelt condolences to your wife Larissa, and your two daughters Alexis and Sophia, your Mum Marie (always Mrs Wrixon!), Lizanne, Gail and Judith, and all of the family.

Our condolences to Larissa, Alexis, Sophia, and Brian's Mum and sisters too. Brian was one of life's good guys.
Amongst other things I have fond memories of our numerous nights out in the Bull & Bear pub, and in Hollywood Nights in Stillorgan, and the craic we'd have on our shared walk home late at night - they are happy memories and I'm glad to have them.
Taken far too soon. Rest in peace Brian.

Sincere condolences to Larissa, Alexis, Sophia and the Wrixon family on the loss of your beloved Brian. He was a warm and friendly person without a bad bone in his body. I loved bumping into Brian because of his great sense of humour and infectious laugh. We played rugby in Sandford together. He was a rock in the scrum and a rock of a man off the pitch. Someone you could rely on. Rest in eternal peace Brian. Your memory will live on. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
